Bradley’s Travelers Triumph Earns Him $36 Million Payday
Top Finishers Share in Lucrative Purse
Big Names Absent from Olympic Golf Field
Webb Bradley’s victory at the Travelers Championship has earned him a substantial payday of $36 million. The event’s $20 million purse is one of the largest on the PGA Tour, with the winner taking home a significant portion of the prize money.
The tournament, known for its longevity and having been played at TPC River Highlands since 1952, has attracted some of the biggest names in golf over the years, but this year’s event saw the absence of eight notable players due to their participation in the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Despite the prestigious nature of the US Open, which was held last week, the Travelers Championship offered a comparable financial incentive, with even those who finished outside the top three earning substantial sums. Patrick Cantlay, Chez Reavie, and Scottie Scheffler each pocketed $841,667 for their tied fourth-place finishes.
